HHZ Radio was born out of a passion for pure, unadulterated hip-hop. The roots of HHZ Radio lie with the iconic radio program Keep The Salt, an oldschool and true school boombap hip-hop show that has been heard for years on Salto Radio in Amsterdam. This program was and is known for its uncompromising love of hip-hop in its purest form, devoid of commercial influences and with a deep appreciation for the art of beats, rhymes and turntablism.
Over the years, the popularity of Keep The Salt and the demand for more of this type of music was growing. Hip-hop fans wanted not just one program every three weeks, but a continuous stream of dope tracks and authentic vibes. That's why we decided at the beginning 2024 to take the next step: a fully dedicated hip-hop radio station that will 24/7, 365 days a year broadcasts the hottest boombap, oldschool and true school hip-hop.
Thus, it was HHZ Radio Born.
